Bryant Park looks beautiful in the winter, especially with a fresh coat of snow. It’s fun to go shopping at the holiday shops and marvel at the frozen water fountain. ”

Grand Central terminal is a favorite.  Not only do you have the wonderful Train Exhibition at the Transit Museum Shop,  the wonderful food displays in the market,  and of course the famous Oyster Bar. You could do some holiday shopping either at the holiday market or at the Apple Store. Best of all, is the hidden away Campbell’s Apartment — an apartment that used to belong to the financier of the railroad. It features darkwood high ceilings, stainglass windows, and comfortable seating. It almost makes you feel like you’re the Lord of the Manor or perhapsin a ski lodge, Try the Prohibition Punch! ”

“I love to enjoy a cocktail at the Lobby Lounge of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in the Time Warner Building.  It has a 270-degree view of the park and you get to look down at all the holiday lights in Columbus Circle and the Holiday Market.  Central Park South traffic flows straight towards you and it is such a treat to watch the buzz of moving traffic around the rotary. Beautiful!”

“I love gathering with friends or family at this cozy little Italian restaurant on the Upper West Side during the holidays! The over-sized Martinis, delicious assortment of Italian wines, warm atmosphere and patrons, makes the bar the perfect after-work spot! With fireplaces in the bar and dining room, unbelievably friendly staff, and the most charming decor, you will feel right at home while enjoying some “old family recipes” like Spaghetti and Meatballs or Chicken Scarpariello!”
